The two Quality Improvement (QI) measures each carry a weight of five. Improving performance on the measures that contribute to these ratings can have a significant impact on overall Star ratings. The measures do not need to reach the next Star rating to have a positive impact, they must only demonstrate "significant improvement". This analysis highlights areas to be opportunistic or manage downside risk related to these important measures.

This page offers a performance review of the measures that were deemed most critical for meeting the contract’s improvement objectives.

The opportunity analysis targets measures where the projected scores are close to the next cutpoint - indicating incremental improvement could drive an increased Star rating. The risk analysis targets measures where projected performance is close to the lower forecasted cutpoint to enable plans to avoid negative surprises in the Fall.

Our Process

We’ll work with you every step of the way to ensure you have all the information you need to achieve your objectives.

Data Collection

First, we work with you to help gather and organize your current and historical performance data. We'll also set your secure customer portal where you can access all your reports and upload your monthly data.

Strategic Assessment

Next, we conduct a thorough, data-driven Strategic Assessment to uncover where your contract’s biggest risks and opportunities lie. We use your contract’s historical and current data, combined with market data, to prioritize measures for improvement, quantify the potential value, and clarify the rationale. The result is a 60+ page shareable document that includes two target setting scenarios to consider, measure set breakdowns, and Quality Improvement and Reward Factor projections.

Organizational Buy-In

The recommendations in the Measure Assessment are derived from a strictly data-driven perspective. Our team will conduct Target Refinement Sessions with measure owners to challenge targets and identify barriers to improvement. The result is a set of targets backed by data and supported by the internal team on the ground.

Monthly Monitoring

Third, we'll establish monthly data transfers and reporting specifications to ensure you have all the information you need to take effective action.

Math Path

Starting mid-year, our analysts will identify a statistically optimized path to get you back on track (if needed), based on time of year/measure impact, RF/QI adjustments, resources required, and resulting mean score.

Q4 Strategy

If necessary, we'll hold Q4 strategy sessions to put together a focused plan that works towards achieving our Stars goals in an accelerated fashion.
